I watched this film last night and thought it was marvelous. I highly and totally recommend it
to everyone. It's not just about fashion, it's a story of a photographer consumed by his passion.
For decades, he has been documenting New York style, but it's so much more than that, he's documenting individuality, trends, society and street culture with curious intention. People like
Bill Cunningham are what make up New York's eclecticism and make the city such a great backdrop for creativity and opportunity. This documentary gives you insight into a (perhaps
dying?) style of photography, being that it's no longer easy to photograph people in public without facing some sort of controversy. Times definitely have changed, for better or worse it's hard to decide.
