I was on a pursuit for Trivial Pursuit so I stopped by Toys 'R Us to check out the inventory. Unfortunately, the giant wall of games only had a weird version that seemed overly complicated and for some reason involved poker chips. This whole area was a little overwhelming though, so many bright colours and new games I've never heard of. No wonder kids these days have attention disorders. Add Comment I was wondering when this would happen. Time to stick a new pair of contacts on my eyeballs. The skies spent all day snowing. There was a lot of unexpected snow and slow driving. I hosted a little wine and sheesh at my place. I brought this hookah back from Beijing that my friend Dina, who I call Beeno, got in Cairo. It's pretty massive and well traveled, I had to buy an extra piece of luggage. I've spent a little time in White Rock in the last couple weeks. This theatre caught my eye. I took Apple Bomb to a new car doctor this morning. I could see she was hurtin' and was prepared for a big bill but the fellas at Granville & Avery Automotive are straight talkers and only did the work that was actually necessary. I'll be repeat business for them and recommend this place to anyone with a car. While she was getting pampered I went for a little walk around Marpole and ended up at Bean Around the World. I spent a good 5 hours there reading Cosmopolis by Don Delillo. I'm really digging his writing style; poetic modern insights, how could I not like that? I had to mail a letter so I walked a few blocks to the closest mailbox. Then took a few pics on the way home. I really underestimated the temperature though, sunny blue skies does not necessarily mean warm. Note to self, don't wear flip flops yet. I came across this dilapidated barn and couldn't help but pull over and take some pictures. I really like this kind of stuff. It makes me want to go on little road trips just to see what I can find. Gigi's pizza was on the menu for today. I had a pretty busy day so this covered all three solids. Gigi's is the best pizza I've found in Vancouver, and it only took me two years of searching to find a title holder. If you think you know of better, the only thing I can suggest is a Za Off. You think you got what it takes? When I look up between two buildings the negative space resembles a site plan. Instead of taking a picture of those microphones I really wanted to pick one up and put on a show. |
