This series began as a collection study. Using common, household items that accumulate
over time and become forgotten, I disassembled the spool of threads’ order by unraveling
arbitrary lengths from each colour and reassembled them into random formations that then
took on architectural and sculptural characteristics, yet continued its chaotic nature. Through
the progression of photos, the string moves from introverted to deconstructed to deflated,
while the elements remain the same. I am drawn to the colourful confusion, by its complexity
created through simplicity and impermanence.
