Miza Architects renovated this old modern home to new glory. Sitting on the edge of a cliff overlooking Capilano River in North Vancouver light streams in from all sides while the trees and steep site provide privacy.

I had the pleasure of photographing the new Remai Modern Art Gallery in Saskatchewan earlier this month. Such a lovely space designed by KPMB and architect of record Architecture 49. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Saskatoon. I photographed a stunning renovation of a commercial space turned residential in East Van. What a treat to experience an alternative to a traditional living space. Filled with all kinds of treasures collected over the years by the homeowners, Soma and Westside Projects did a great job to create spaces to showcase their collections and entertain.
Check out the feature in April's issue of Western Living! Stark Architecture's industrial modern renovation of a 1970s cabin for a growing family in Whistler.
I had the opportunity to photograph the new Apple Visitor Center at Apple Park in Cupertino, designed by Foster + Partners. I spent the day shooting and experiencing the space as the light moved through the building. The feeling of being on the edge of technological advancement is palpable. This was my second time staying in San Fransisco in the past few years and it felt like there was an electricity that I hadn't experienced the first time I visited.
I scheduled a few shoots between Portland and Palm Springs around the same time last month so decided to make a road trip of it. It's been several years since the last time and I was itching to do another one along the coast. Any photographer will tell you a long road trip is great for inspiration and self directed projects so it's always fun to be able to make it an adventure. Serra is a dispensary in downtown Portland that emphasizes sophisticated
branding and interior design. I love seeing designers working with the cannabis industry to help create a more progressive marijuana experience. Check out Azure Magazine and Designboom for more information about the project. Last month I had the pleasure of photographing another Stark Architecture house in Whistler. I love the Nordic alpine vibes this space is giving with the bright open volumes of space and pale streamlined finishes. It's a nice departure from the wood heavy lodges typically found in resort cities.
I live a couple streets away from the new Emily Carr University campus. It's been interesting to watch the building go up and see the neighbourhood changing. Having the new campus where it is now would have been way more convenient when I was a student back in 2006-09! I had the pleasure of spending the day photographing this renovated and updated four storey house in White Rock for KBC Developments. Talk about a room with a view!
Check out the new Verdura Salads at Main and Broadway. Had a great shoot for Ply Architecture and Pacific Solutions Contracting.
