Influenced by the languages of graphic art and propaganda used by the Russian Constructivists and the Italian Superstudio from the 1960s, I am interested in constructing new architectural spaces through collage. Juxtaposing the positive and negative prints creates a dialogue between what is perceived as solid and void space and how the experience of each is shifted and reconsidered. I create impenetrable monuments in a science fiction-like landscape, where there is a loss of cultural identity due to urbanization. I am interested in the dialogue between the building and the public realm, of solid vs. void, of the built and the spaces it unavoidably creates around itself.
